Description
Limited edition of 2000 individually numbered copies on magenta coloured 180-gram audiophile vinyl. Elvis Now was recorded between early 1969 and the summer of 1971 and encompasses different genres including country, gospel, soul and pop. We see for example Kris Kristofferson-penned “Help Me Make It Through the Night” and The Beatles’ “Hey Jude”, all lavishly arranged keeping in mind the Las Vegas aesthetic of 70s Elvis. The album only had one single, “Until It’s Time for You to Go / We Can Make the Morning”, which reached number 9 on the Easy Listening chart in the US in March 1972 and number 5 on the UK Singles Chart in April 1972.
